This port is located 1 km away from the center but a nice walk near
the coast connects this with Passalimani. Once it was protected by the
goddess Mounichia Artemis (the old Sanctuary is in the actual Naval Yacht
Club) so its name was Munychia and it was used too by Ottoman, changing the name
to Tourkolimano, although it's actual name, Mikrolimano or small port,
matchs better with its actual touristic purposes.
It is a lovely little harbour full of fishing boats, small vessels and some very beautiful yachts. But its personal character comes from the multitude of mainly fish taverns and restaurants that are next to the sea. So, for tasting fresh fish and seafood
"mezedes" with ouzo is one of the most popular destinations, even between natives, anyway you can find some cafeterias where you can avoid eating fish…
