Kantharos

THE OLD KANTHAROS AND ITS NEW LIFE.

Its ancient name was Kantharos and nowadays it is the centre of the city's life that is connected to this main and central Harbour.

From the Subway Station it is easy to make a short walking between the passengers' ships to the Saronic Islands and Aegean Sea, Crete and others countries in the Mediterranean.

If you are not going to travel you can be happy only watching the constant comings and goings of goods and people from around the world.

In this area you can see what is the identity symbol for all the seamen when they are arriving in Piraeus: the cathedral Agia Triada.

Near there are the Town Hall and the food market of Piraeus.
