Beaches

Beaches with straw coloured sand and shiny pebbles, both in the town and at the many small bays around the island are available for visitors to enjoy themselves in their clean cool sapphire waters. For those who wish to combine the convenience and entertainment of the town with their swim, there are beautiful blue beaches all along the town of Spetses.

The beaches of Aghia Marina, Aghios Mammas, Aghios Nicholaos, Kounoupitsa and the College are provided for this purpose. Outside the town, there are many beautiful organised beaches where you can enjoy swimming, sea sports and also have lunch or a cocktail.

Starting at the northeast side of the island and heading northwest, we come to Xylokerisa beach and then Aghioi Anargyroi with its small summer community. There is regular bus service for these beaches from May until the end of September, with the departure point at the square of Ag. Mammas.

Continuing, we come to the beach of Aghia Paraskevi, which is lined with pine trees and is considered to be one of the most beautiful of the island.

The last beach on the northwest side of the island is Zogeria, from where you can gaze at the Peloponnesian coast, whilst enjoying your lunch at the traditional taverna.

All of the above mentioned beaches can be reached easily by road or sea.
There are also many small bays around the island which can only be reached by boat.
