History

In its beginning It was an insignificant settlement until Themistokles saw all its potential.

After that, days of glory came with Pericles and Hippodamos of Miletus.

The New Greek State found nothing in its place but it remembered the reason of its success.

Again the ports were its salvation and a new city full of new enthusiasm appeared.
